Collection: Anne Donovan

Brooklyn, NY

Brooklyn Heights resident Anne Donovan learned to sew by watching her mother and grandmother, both of whom made clothes for themselves along with slipcovers, curtains, baby clothes and doll clothes. "I started sewing as a teenager so I could replicate the fashion of the day – mini-skirts!" When Anne began volunteering with the BWE in 2012, she was inspired to start sewing again. Anne's specialty Liberty fabric cosmetic pouches, crayon totes, Christmas tree skirts, quilts and table runners, in addition to her children's clothes, are a consistent customer favorite in our shop.
