Fourth generation Brooklynite, Jenna McLean of Ruby Red Skipper, is a printer using silkscreen, letterpress and block prints. She especially enjoys the tactile experience of working with her hands. Jenna’s silkscreened tea towels and original art work are done by hand and burned into the screen. Jenna named her company after her Scottish great grandfather who lived in Bay Ridge and was Skipper of the ship named Ruby that he sailed into South Street Seaport. “I love knowing that the items I create will be used in the daily lives of people who buy them.”
