A woodworker for more than 35 years, Bob Kaplan never knows what will be revealed when he positions a piece of wood on the lathe. Whether a bowl, a vase, or a birdhouse—it's always an object that exposes the intrinsic beauty of wood. Some of our favorite pieces are the most organic—made from burls or roots or with a natural edge, an exposed seam or a crack. Bob is a member of the American Association of Woodturners.
